See Willem Dafoe’s Creepy Joker For Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’

This design of Willem Dafoe’s Joker would be intimidating in ‘The Batman’ sequel opposite Robert Pattinson.

Spider-Man and Aquaman star Willem Dafoe becomes The Joker for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman universe in a creepy new fan edit.

After a rumor recently suggested The Batman director Matt Reeves is looking to introduce the Joker in a sequel to the Robert Pattinson film, fans flocked to social media to suggest their favorite choices for someone to become the next Clown Prince of Crime. One of the most popular actors fans kept discussing was Willem Dafoe. The actor has previously played an unhinged villain in the first Spider-Man film opposite Tobey Maguire, and his recent manic performance in The Lighthouse opposite Pattinson shows he can play a disturbed individual with ease. Interestingly, Pattinson’s Batman voice is apparently inspired by Dafoe’s accent in The Lighthouse.

A concept design from digital artist ‘anarchy_graphicsllc’ imagines Willem Dafoe as The Joker for The Batman sequel, and it’s a terrifying rendition of what the actor could look like as the legendary villain. It’s a simple edit which gives Dafoe the green hair alongside a creepy grin on his face. Comic book fans will instantly be reminded of Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo’s Joker comic series when looking at the artwork. If the villain really is on the way for the Dark Knight’s sequel, Willem Dafoe could be an excellent addition to the film’s cast. Take a look at the design below.
