New artwork imagines The Batman star Robert Pattinson with a cowl featuring the classic white eyes from the pages of DC Comics.
One element of Batman’s classic costume that doesn’t always make it into the movies is the white lenses in his cowl. Christopher Nolan briefly paid homage to the look using a sonar device in The Dark Knight’s finale, while Zack Snyder used them in Ben Affleck’s mechanized suit during Batman v Superman. But with Robert Pattinson starring in the next era of Bruce Wayne’s adventures, many fans are hoping that his practical suit eventually gives him the classic white eyed cowl from the comics.
A design from digital artist ‘willgray_art’ on Instagram shows off Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit reworked ever so slightly to make the white eyes come to life. It still keeps the same design as the bulky, home-made suit of armor that we’ve briefly seen so far, but the white eyed cowl just gives it that edge to make him even more intimidating. In recent news, Matt Reevs will continue filming The Batman throughout the current U.K. lockdown. You can see the design of Robert Pattinson’s Batman cowl below.
What do you make of the white eyed cowl for The Batman? Should the new franchise give the Caped Crusader the classic look? Comment below and let us know!
The plot of The Batman is being kept a closely guarded secret, but we know the film will follow Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his second year as Gotham City’s Dark Knight. The Batman will also show off the hero using his skills as a detective more than what we’ve seen before in previous versions of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new trilogy of films starring Pattinson.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, Robert Pattinson stars as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on Zendaya, Batgirl and Robert Pattinson’s upcoming film, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content.
