See ‘IT’ Star Bill Skarsgard Become The Joker For Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’

Battinson gets a Joker.

IT star Bill Skarsgard leaves Pennywise behind to become the Joker for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman in a new artistic design.

We don’t mean to typecast Bill Skarsgard as villainous clowns, but a new design pictures the IT star as the Joker for Matt Reeve’s The Batman and it’s an intimidating look. Although many fans are glad the upcoming Robert Pattinson film is focusing on a different villain other than the Clown Prince of Crime with a twisted version of the Riddler, it’s only a matter of time before the Joker comes to this new universe.

The new art of IT star Bill Skarsgard as the Joker comes from @britedit on Instagram and offers an illustrated version of what the star could look like in the role. Way back in June this year a rumor suggested that Matt Reeves is looking to introduce the villain in the sequel to Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, and Skarsgard would definitely be a good fit for the role. Given the David Fincher/Seven-style version of Gotham City we’re getting in the new film, it’d be interesting to see what how the Joker could be changed to fit that tone. Take a look at Bill Skarsgard in the role below.

What do you make of the design? Would you like to see IT star Bill Skarsgard as the Joker? Which other villains do you think should appear in Robert Pattinson’s The Batman? Sound-off in the comments below!

The plot of The Batman is being kept a closely guarded secret, but we know the film will follow Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his second year as Gotham City’s Dark Knight. The Batman will also show off the hero using his skills as a detective more than what we’ve seen before in previous versions of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new trilogy of films starring Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, Robert Pattinson stars as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently scheduled to open in theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on Bill Skarsgard, the Joker and Robert Pattinson’s upcoming film, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content.
