See Henry Cavill With Classic Christopher Reeve Superman Look

The new design gives Superman fans a perfect combination of Henry Cavill and Christopher Reeve.

An awesome new fan edit shows Justice League star Henry Cavill with the classic Christopher Reeve Superman look for the DC Extended Universe.

Although fans are still waiting to see Henry Cavill return to reprise is role as Superman in the DC Extended Universe, this artwork imagines the actor with the look of legendary actor Christopher Reeve. Cavill revealed he’d felt compelled to comment on the rumors circulating about his DC role, but felt it would go against everything that Superman stood for to wade into the debate about whether or not he’d parted ways with Warner Brothers.

The artwork comes from a digital artist known as ‘jscomicart’ on Instagram and replaces Superman star Christopher Reeve with Henry Cavill. It shows off the modern Last Son of Krypton combined with Reeve in a seamless way, blending the best of both eras of the character. David S. Goyer recently discussed Henry Cavill’s Superman solo film from 2013, explaining what the alternate ending to the story would’ve looked like. Take a look at the “retro” redesign of Cavill in the art below.

Henry Cavill’s Superman will next be seen in Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut on HBO Max. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
