See Dave Bautista’s Bane For Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’ Universe

Could Dave Bautista be the new Bane to break the Bat?

An intimadating concept design imagines Avengers: Endgame star Dave Bautista as Bane for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman universe.

While Robert Pattinson’s The Batman will see Paul Dano’s Riddler plague Gotham City as a sinister serial killer who seemingly focuses on corrupt officials, many fans have called for Dave Bautista to be cast as Bane in the series. Earlier this year, Heroic Hollywood reported that plans for a Bane standalone film in the vein of Joker were shot down, which could mean the legendary DC Comics villain could return to the silver screen in a future sequel to The Batman. This incredible fan edit shows off what Dave Bautista could look like in the iconic Bane mask.

The artwork from digital artist ‘skull101ify’ on Instagram blends Tom Hardy’s look from The Dark Knight Rises with a comic accurate mask for Dave Bautista. The design also gives the star the venom pipes attached to his body to pump him up. Given the intense direction Matt Reeves is taking Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, a new version of Bane could really lean into the body horror nature of the character. Disappointingly, Bautista himself confirmed back in July that he hasn’t been cast as Bane, despite his best efforts. Take a look at the fan art of Dave Bautista as Bane below.

Plot details for The Batman are being kept under lock and key, but we know that the project will revolve around Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment to a new Batman trilogy with Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently scheduled to open in theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Robert Pattinson, Dave Baustista and the Batman universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
