See Ben Affleck’s Batman Meet Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke

Joe Manganiello debuted as Deathstroke in 2017’s Justice League.

A cool new concept design imagines Ben Affleck’s Batman going toe to toe with Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke.

Zack Snyder’s vision for the DC Extended Universe was never able to fully come into fruition but it did leave behind an excellent well of ideas and casting. Ben Affleck as Batman was a genius decision despite all the naysayers that plagued the blogs for resignation in 2013. Making his debut in Batman v Superman, Affleck stunned us all with his raw, emotional performance as the Caped Crusader. Unfortunately, we never got to see him go up against one of Batman’s most menacing foes: Deathstroke.

Making a brief appearance during the post-credits of Justice League, Joe Manganiello was revealed to be the assassin known as Deathstroke, one of DC’s most feared villains. If we lived in a perfect world, we would have seen Manganiello and Ben Affleck duke it out on the big screen. And while we may never get to see that confrontation happen, a brand new conceptual design from jscomicart imagines Batman and Deathstroke meeting.

Much of the emphasis is placed on Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke in this art work, highlighting just how menacing he looks with the battered mask and suit. Merely showing the back of Ben Affleck’s Batman makes it clear that a showdown is about to happen. The raindrops and smoke in the air also do a great job of fusing this image with tension.

What are your thoughts on this artwork? Who do you think would win a fight? Ben Affleck’s Batman or Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke? Sound off in the comments and let us know!

Here is the synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
