A suit fit for a King!
Aquaman star Jason Momoa wears an unused set of armor as Arthur Curry in a new behind-the-scenes image from the James Wan film.
When the first trailers for Jason Momoa’s Aquaman debuted showing the star wearing the vibrant orange and green suit from the comics – fans were surprised that the crew had managed to translate the look into a genuinely formidable set of armor for the hero. It’ll definitely be interesting to see how the costume changes as Arthur embraces his role as King of Atlantis going forward into the second film. But a new image from behind-the-scenes shows off an alternate Aquaman costume.
The outfit created by Kim Barrett changes the color of Aquaman‘s scale armor into a gold design rather than the overly-vibrant orange suit. The green gloves also aren’t as armored as the final pair worn by Jason Momoa in the film. It’s possible this regal design could be adapted for the sequel, but since James Wan previously revealed that fans can expect more horror touches in Aquaman 2, maybe the hero will need something a bit bulkier. Take a look at Jason Momoa in the alternate Aquaman suit below.
