Dwayne Johnson knows who he wants for Hawkman!
Dwayne Johnson has demanded that Ryan Reynolds play Hawkman for his upcoming Black Adam film after the Deadpool star denied that he was playing the role.
Last year Heroic Hollywood exclusively learned that DC character Hawkman would be involved in Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming Shazam! spin-off, Black Adam. How big of a role the character will have in a film is currently unknown. However, it seems that Dwayne Johnson may have found the person that he would like to portray one of DC’s oldest heroes.
In a recent post, Ryan Reynolds assured fans that he was not playing Hawkman in Black Adam although he did hint at an appearance in Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League. Dwayne Johnson then responded that he was playing Hawkman and would hear no further argument on the matter, albeit in a joking manner:
You ARE playing Hawkman and that’s that. You’re also Deadpool, Green Lantern (when you want because you own the intellectual property), you’re in the Zack Snyder JL movie and you’re also @KevinHart4real’s dad. Like in real life, as per your blood test.

Gere is the synopsis for the franchise’s latest release Shazam!:
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quick.
Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Djimon Hounsou.
Shazam! is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Black Adam is currently scheduled to hit theaters on December 22, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Black Adam and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
